Quick answer: all ten casinos below possess an active UK Gambling Commission licence and take a UK debit card, but the other details vary quite a lot. bet365 provides the most methods (nine, including two separate open banking methods). The most simple is Midnite, having one method with a limit of £5 to £5,000. Grosvenor Casinos has the shortest published withdrawal time at 15 minutes and MrQ is the only one to enforce their speed with real consequences: a £10 cash credit for failing to cash out in under 60 seconds.
Payment methods explained
Ten different UK casinos do not equate to ten different payment methods. Cards and Apple Pay show up almost everywhere. Surprisingly, e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller are far less available than most players expect. The methods for each of the ten operators on this page are illustrated below.
Debit cards
All ten casinos accept Visa and Mastercard DEBIT. The minimum bet is £5 at Grosvenor, Midnite, BetVictor, William Hill and bet365. At All British Casino and PlayOJO it is £10. Maximum bets are different for all casinos. All British Casino has a general max deposit of £5,000, while William Hill can take a max bet of £99,000 and bet365 can take £20,000. None of the ten casino's accept UK credit cards. The Gambling Commission banned credit card use for gambling in April 2020, and since then all casinos on this list enforce this ban. Our debit card casinos guide has details on each casino's deposit cap and how long their card withdrawals take (between 1 minute to 5 days).
Apple Pay & Google Pay
The other nine casinos, matching the debit card, also accept Apple Pay. Support for withdrawals varies. At All British Casino, Apple Pay withdrawals are stated as not available. At PlayOJO, it is among the “Limited” options in their comparison table. At bet365, a payout via Apple Pay is stated as falling back to bank transfer if the card is not able to receive this payout. The other six casinos support withdrawals both ways, and at William Hill and Midnite this method is stated as being faster than paying via the same card. For Google Pay, only bet365, All British Casino, Midnite and BetVictor support this method, and All British Casino has this method restricted to deposits. Our Apple Pay casinos guide has information on withdrawals and deposits and the Google Pay casinos guide explains why the list is so short.
PayPal
PayPal can be used at bet365, William Hill, All British Casino, PlayOJO, Betway, Grosvenor and MrQ. The minimums range between £10 for both William Hill and Grosvenor to £25 at bet365 which is the highest minimum on this list. PayPal is not listed as one of the available methods at Midnite, BetVictor and Betfred. Our PayPal Casinos guide has details on the minimums and the two sites where the Welcome offer is nullified due to payment by PayPal.
Open banking & Pay by Bank
Eight of the ten offer what is essentially the same, though varying in name: Trustly at bet365, PlayOJO, Midnite and Betway, Pay By Bank at William Hill, bet365 and Betway, Instant Banking at Betfred, Instant Bank Transfer at Grosvenor and Easy Bank Transfer at MrQ. All British Casino and BetVictor do not have any open banking option available to UK players. Our Pay by Bank casinos guide goes over the five brands and lists the published limits.
One of the quirky things about UK Casinos are that they on never list individual banks as separate deposit methods. You pick the open banking method first, then select your bank (Barclays, NatWest, Monzo, etc,) from the drop down. Even then, bet365 lists the 12 UK banks their Trustly deposits work with, Betfred says "most UK banks", and BetVictor says some online-only banks are not supported.
Skrill & Neteller
The narrowest availability of payment methods is with William Hill and All British Casino as they are the only ones to offer both Skrill and Neteller. Of the two, William Hill has the better range, with Skrill limits between £10 - £80,000 and Neteller limits between £10 - £25,000 deposits and up to £30,000 withdrawals. Eight of the ten casinos listed here do not offer either e-wallet. Our Skrill and Neteller casinos guide details the £80,000 Skrill payout and the fees charged at both ends by both Skrill and Neteller along with why All British Casino excludes Skrill, but not Neteller.
paysafecard
bet365, William Hill, All British Casino, and Grosvenor are the only casinos in this selection to offer paysafecard, although in varying degrees. At bet365 the range is £5 - £1,000 and it needs a separate myPaysafe account. At William Hill, the limits for deposits are £10 - £200, and withdrawals are only possible by a bank transfer, which takes 3-5 working days. All British Casino suits small amounts best, and Grosvenor takes it for deposits only, with a £10 minimum. paysafecard is unique in this listing as it is a prepaid voucher that can be used as a deposit limit and cannot be used for withdrawals. Our paysafecard casinos guide covers the £40 limit on a plain code and paysafecard's own fees, and the two casinos that do not allow it for the welcome offer.

Which payment method should you use?
The optimal choice will really depend on what trade-offs you're willing to make. These cover the majority of what matters when choosing an option.
Want your money back fastest?
Grosvenor Casinos (15 minute Fast Withdrawals) and MrQ (60 second guarantee, or £10 compensation) have the fastest processing times on this page. Both casinos mention the time it takes for the casino to process (not the bank).
Want the simplest limits?
Midnite is the only casino with one £5-£5000 range across every method, so there's nothing to compare once you have chosen one method.
Want the widest choice?
bet365 has 9 methods, including 2 open banking, and the highest stated deposit ceilings on this page (£100,000 via slow bank transfer).
If you already use Skrill or Neteller, only William Hill and All British Casino have both here - worth checking before assuming any UK Casino will have them, since eight of the ten on this page do not have them.
Withdrawal speed compared
Deposit speed is rarely a consideration since every method on this page processes deposits instantly or very close to it. The real differences are with withdrawal speed, which is where operators publish the least information.
MrQ’s Withdrawal Guarantee is the only reward-based speed promise on this page. It promises to award credit of £10 in cash if a qualifying withdrawal is not processed in 60 seconds. This is done within one working day, and is limited to one credit per user per day. The redemption will not be awarded if the withdrawal is pending, if the deposit used mobile billing, or if there is a problem on the bank or card’s side.
Grosvenor Casinos claims most withdrawals are processed by a bank in 15 minutes after a method is enabled for its Fast Withdrawals system. This is the fastest figure provided, although withdrawals via cards fall back to 1-3 working days like most other operators. At the other end, withdrawals via Midnite’s system can take up to 5 working days, the longest of the estimates provided.
Five of the ten casinos, bet365, Betway, BetVictor, Betfred, and MrQ’s, do not provide a maximum withdrawal time when a user is logged out of the site. This is not necessarily a bad sign, as some of these casinos, (Betfred, Betway) do not formally publish a time but do provide a description to the withdrawal process and its time (a short queue, then normal clearing time). Grosvenor Casinos, along with MrQ, are the two casinos that provide a formal time.
Staying safe with casino payments
The payment terms below will apply to all ten operators, and will come from UK gambling regulations, over which all licensed casinos have equal jurisdiction.
-
Use your real info when filling out your profile. Each of the casinos on this list requires account name matching the name on the payment method. If this is not the case, the casino has the right to deny deposits or withdrawals.
-
Expect to verify your identity. Thresholds depend on the casino. For example, All British Casino requires an identity verification once total deposits/withdrawals reach £1,400, but for bet 365, a verification check is triggered at €2,000 cumulative deposits in the last 180 days. The majority of casinos automatically verify and only ask you to submit documents in the case of a failed verification check.
-
Deposits are generally returned via the same payment method used to deposit. This is an anti-money laundering rule in the industry. Grosvenor Casino explains this in the best way possible: if multiple payment methods have been used to deposit, then the payment will be made to the payment method with the highest net deposits (deposits - withdrawals).
-
Double check the licence you plan to use. Every UKGC account number posted on this page can be checked directly on the Gambling Commission's public register. This takes less than a minute and confirms the operator has a valid licence for the products and services being offered.
None of the ten casinos listed on this page process deposits via a UK credit card. This isn't due to a particular processor's payment stack, rather, all UK licensed casinos have had to comply with Gambling Commission regulation since April 2020 to stop individuals from gambling with borrowed funds.
Frequently asked questions
The UK Gambling Commission's rule against credit card gambling across all of its licensed operators came into effect in April 2020 to stop individuals from gambling with borrowed funds. All ten casinos on this list enforce the rule with only debit cards as an option, and some even publish this restriction in their payments section.
Grosvenor Casinos claims that once Fast Withdrawals has been enabled on the method of choice, most withdrawals reach a bank account in as little as 15 minutes. This is the fastest stated time in this comparison. Meanwhile, MrQdefends its 60-second processing pledge with a real time cash prize of £10 if the casino fails to process the transaction within this timeframe. These two processes account for the time the casino takes to process the withdrawal and the time the bank itself takes to process the transaction.
Generally speaking, no. Every operator in this comparison which publishes the rule processes withdrawals to the same method that was used for the original deposit (also known as a closed-loop system), a common anti-money laundering procedure. Grosvenor Casinos details this the best: if multiple methods were used for numerous deposits, the payout is to the method with the highest total net deposits.
Five pounds is the most common minimum across this list, used by bet365, William Hill, Midnite, BetVictor and Grosvenor for card and open-banking deposits. All British Casino and PlayOJO both publish a £10 minimum instead, while Betway and Betfred publish no minimum at all.
Of the ten, seven state a minimum deposit: bet365, William Hill, All British Casino, PlayOJO, Betway, Grosvenor Casinos and MrQ. Midnite and BetVictor do not publish PayPal as an option, while Betfred does not name it either.
Only where an operator states it publicly. According to bet365's terms, customer funds are held in separate designated accounts that the bank has agreed to keep separate from the company's funds, and Grosvenor's parent company operates licensed land-based casinos alongside their online operations. Not all ten casinos in this comparison provide such a statement, so ensure you read an operator's terms if this is important to you.
