Every UK casino that takes PayPal
The two tables you should read jointly are the welcome bonus and whether PayPal keeps it. The first tells you the offer amount, and the second, whether payment in this manner would enable you to access it, and at two of the casinos it does not. Four of the seven display a PayPal-specific deposit amount which is typically higher than the usual deposit amount, and if you are mindful of each one, then all British applies a £10 limit across the board, and Betway and MrQ have no deposit amount whatsoever.
| Casino | Welcome offer | Min deposit | Keeps it with PayPal? | Play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| bet365 | Up to 500 free spinsNo wagering, 10p per spin | £25 | No exclusion published | Visit |
| William Hill | 200 free spins10x wagering, £30 win cap | £10 | Casino yes, sports offer excludes it | Visit |
| All British Casino | 100 cash spins + 10% cashbackNo wagering, no max cash out | £10 general | No exclusion published | Visit |
| PlayOJO | 50 free spinsNo wagering, 10p per spin | £10 | No exclusion published | Visit |
| Betway | 150 free spinsNo wagering on winnings | Not published | Forfeited, debit card only | Visit |
| Grosvenor Casinos | £40 bonus + 100 spins10x wagering on deposit + bonus | £10 | Forfeited, PayPal named | Visit |
| MrQ | 100 free spinsNo wagering, uncapped, 48h | Not published | No exclusion published | Visit |
Two figures stand out. bet365 asks for £25 to deposit via PayPal, which is two and a half times what most of the list asks and five times the £5 it sets for a deposit via debit card. PlayOJO is the only one to set a withdrawal limit higher than the deposit limit, at £20 out against £10 in.
The two casinos where PayPal costs you the bonus
This is the part no comparison page reveals, and it is worth real money. Both of these casinos accept PayPal for normal deposits. Both of them also refuse to give you the welcome offer if this was the funding method that you used.
Betway: each of the GB welcome offers states "Debit Card deposits only (exclusions apply)". Betway accepts PayPal, Apple Pay, Trustly and Pay by Bank, and funding with any of these methods forfeits the offer. See our Betway review.
Grosvenor Casinos has a clause in their welcome offer that states the promotion “is not available to players who open new accounts and make their first deposit using PayPal or Paysafe.” This results in a £40 bonus and 100 bonus spins being lost. The paysafecard casinos guide explains the other side of the clause. You can find our Grosvenor review here.
William Hill falls in the middle and should be noted, as its exclusion list is the longest that I have seen. Its sports welcome offer publishes nine excluded deposit methods, and PayPal is the first of the bunch, alongside Neosurf, Paysafe, Apple Pay, NETELLER, Skrill, ecoPayz, Kalibra and the WH PLUS Card. Its Vegas and casino offer name no method restrictions whatsoever.
The trend is apparent in the market when you take some time to examine it. PayPal figures on more excluded-method lists than any other payment type in this comparison and the reason is not a secret: an e-wallet adds an extra layer between the casino and your bank, and makes bonus abuse easier and harder to track.
The practical rule. If you are interested in the welcome offer, make the first deposit with a Debit Card, claim it, then add PayPal afterwards for all subsequent transactions. Every casino on this list supports the registration of multiple payment methods and the offer condition only binds to the qualifying deposit.
The seven PayPal casinos, one by one
Same seven as the table, with what PayPal specifically costs and buys you at each. Screenshots are the mobile homepage and the casino lobby as they looked in August 2026.
bet365
UKGC account 55149 · Hillside (UK Gaming) ENCOf all the casinos listed here, bet365 asks the most to open with PayPal, at twenty-five pounds. That is five times its own £5 debit card minimum, and PayPal is capped at £5,500 a transaction against £20,000 on a card. They also don’t provide a separate PayPal withdrawal timing. What you get for this is the biggest headline offer here, up to 500 free spins with no wagering, and no excluded method in the terms, so paying by PayPal does not cost you the bonus. If you deposit small amounts, their Trustly option starts at five pounds and does the same job.

William Hill
UKGC account 39225 · WHG (International) LimitedWilliam Hill provides the most extensive PayPal entry of the seven, at ten pounds with a limit of five thousand five hundred pounds in both directions, withdrawals in one working day, and the method scoped explicitly to the UK and Gibraltar. They also state outright that UK customers cannot fund a PayPal deposit with a credit card, which is the clearest confirmation on this page that the ban reaches through the wallet. Just make sure you are aware of the offer you are chasing. The casino welcome offer publishes no method restriction, while the sports offer lists PayPal first among nine excluded deposit methods.

All British Casino
UKGC account 38758 · L&L Europe LimitedOf all British casinos, PayPal is most relevant at All British, because none of the competition offers Open Banking and its Apple Pay and Google Pay are deposit-only. This means that PayPal or a debit card are the only two payment options in both directions. Limits across all payment options are £10 to £5,000. There is no dedicated PayPal table, and the casino aims to process withdrawals in 24 hours. The offer is the softest on the page with 100 cash spins and no wagering requirement with a cash out limit of no more than what was won, as well as a 10% cashback offer, with no excluded payment method.

PlayOJO
UKGC account 39326 · Skill on Net LtdPlayOJO is the only casino on this list that has a dedicated PayPal page, and also has the most comprehensive PayPal comparison against Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Trustly, as an additional page on its website. PlayOJO is the only casino on this list where the withdrawal limit is higher than the deposit limit, £20 out versus £10 in, with a maximum transaction limit of £5,000. Electronic wallet withdrawals incur no costs, while a bank wire transfer costs £10. Because the promise is founded within PlayOJO’s rewards policy, no wagering applies to anything at PlayOJO.

Betway
UKGC account 39372 · Betway LimitedBetway is the clearest example of what this page is on about. It is happy to take PayPal for standard play, but each welcoming GB offer states “Debit Card deposits only.” That means, ‘Fund your first deposit with PayPal and 150 wager-free spins (the best offer value on this page) will not be awarded. Betway publishes no set limits, and the £5 minimum withdrawal applies to PayPal, with a £1 processing fee subtracted if your balance falls below that. It holds the top Gambling Commission band for funds protection, which is something that many do not have.

Grosvenor Casinos
UKGC account 57924 · Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) LimitedLooking at everything, this is the quickest PayPal casino on the list. Grosvenor has Fast Withdrawals as one of the methods enabled and states that this takes 15 minutes, and their published per method table is the best of the ten. Then the offer terms apply – the welcome promotion will not be awarded to those who make their first deposits using PayPal or Paysafe, so £40 of bonus and 100 spins will disappear. Additionally, Grosvenor has a weird policy of ‘highest net deposits’ when withdrawals are processed, meaning that withdrawals will be sent to the method with the highest net deposits (deposits minus withdrawals).

MrQ
UKGC account 60629 · Tek Fox LimitedMrQ is worth considering PayPal is your banking method. The five-method list is closed and stated, which indicates PayPal's inclusion. Transactions come under the guarantee that nets you £10 in cash if the process takes longer than 60 seconds. The welcome offer has no exclusions and the 100 spins generate unlimited winnings that are directly added to your cash account balance. There are two considerations. First, the PayPal account must be in your name as MrQ does not accept family, joint or business accounts. A withdrawal pending verification will take longer than 60 seconds.

Three casinos that do not take PayPal
Three of the ten exclude PayPal altogether, and each has its reason that warrants a look before you begin your search.
Midnite
A deliberately narrow cashier: debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Trustly and Pay By Bank, every one of them with a flat £5 to £5,000 both ways. Midnite also has a single-active-payment-method rule, so multiple wallets was never the plan here.
Trustly or Pay By Bank are alternatives.
BetVictor
The narrowest UK lineup on the list at three deposit methods, no e-wallets and no open banking, despite running a much broader payment stack in other countries. Bank transfer is withdrawal-only here.
A debit card is the only way to proceed, effectively the only option here.
Betfred
Accepts Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Bacs, and its own Instant Banking, but nowhere mentions any e-wallet. Betfred also excludes prepaid cards and e-wallets from its welcome offer, so the gap is consistent with how it runs promotions.

Why some casinos have PayPal and others cannot
Gambling is not one of PayPal’s usual categories. Its UK Acceptable Use Policy places gambling and gaming in a short list of activities for which prior approval is a must, and is permitted only in cases where both the operator and the customer are in the jurisdiction where it is legal. A casino can't simply enable PayPal like a card processor. Apple Pay has no equivalent gateway for which PayPal reaches seven casinos while Apple Pay has reached ten, as described in the Apple Pay Casinos Guide. Google limits its own API for gambling and has reached only four, as explained in the Google Pay Casinos Guide. PayPal is the last e-wallet operating at this level: Skrill and Neteller together are at two casinos.
This explains the rest of the pattern. All the casinos that offer PayPal tend to be of the older, more established British variety. Casinos that do not offer PayPal tend to be more recently launched, or offer a very limited cashier. PayPal's approval of a casino does provide a bit of a subtle sign.
What using it actually looks like
Register PayPal in the cashier. This has to be your personal account. MrQ states that they will refuse business accounts, family accounts, joint accounts, etc. even if the business is yours.
PayPal deposits are instant. Every casino on this page lists PayPal deposits as instant.
Withdraw back to the same account. All 7 return cash to the method you deposited with if they can, so PayPal in means PayPal out.
Be aware of the casino's own time frames. PlayOJO states that it takes them typically anything from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on the time of the day when the payment is approved. William Hill takes 24 hours, and MrQ takes 60 seconds.
How fast a PayPal withdrawal actually lands
The boring half is deposits: every casino on this page credits PayPal deposits instantly. Withdrawals is where the 7 vary and the difference between the fastest and the most ambiguous is huge.
| Casino | What it publishes for a PayPal withdrawal |
|---|---|
| MrQ | Processed within 60 seconds, or it pays you £10 |
| Grosvenor Casinos | PayPal is enabled for Fast Withdrawals, most within 15 minutes |
| PlayOJO | Usually within hours after approval |
| William Hill | 1 working day |
| All British Casino | Aims to process within 24 hours on working days |
| bet365 | No separate PayPal withdrawal timing published |
| Betway | No withdrawal timing published at all |
There are two that need a special mention. Both MrQ and Grosvenor promise to process the payment in 60 seconds and 15 minutes respectively. The guarantee, however, does not state that money will be available in your account. MrQ guarantees that they will process the payment, but some banks take up to 7 working days to release the funds.
In summary, PayPal is the quickest method that most UK casinos offer. This is because there is no card network involved and the PayPal account has already been verified. However, PayPal verifications checks mean this is the method that is most likely to be put on hold, which is the subject of the next section.
What you can take out, and the floor under it
Minimum withdrawals tend to be under £5, with the exception of PlayOJO, whose minimum withdrawal is set at £20. bet365 and All British do not set a PayPal withdrawal minimum. Two exceptions; Betway will pay out any remaining balance under £5 for a fee of £1, and MrQ have a £10 minimum, but allow players to email support to clear the remaining balance.
PayPal withdrawal limits are lower than most limits on other payment methods. This can significantly reduce your winnings if you have a really lucky night. For example, the limit on withdrawals for PayPal at William Hill is £5,500 compared to a he limit of £99,000 on withdrawals for their debit cards. PlayOJO has a limit of £5,000 on withdrawals for PayPal and All British set a general limit of £5,000.
None of the limits mentioned above are limits on the total amount you can win. The limits are on the total amount that can be withdrawn in a given transaction, so larger balances may have to be withdrawn in multiple transactions. Be aware that a balance of £5,000 in withdrawals will not come in a single payment.
The PayPal account has to be yours
This is the most likely reason why a PayPal withdrawal may fail. All the casinos on this list follow a closed-loop policy. This means that the funds must return to the payment method that was used to fund the account, and the name on that payment method must match the name on the account. A failed payment does not mean a failed withdrawal; the money is simply put on hold until the account is verified.
Of all the sites, MrQ is the most explicit with the rules. They do not accept any Payment method, PayPal, or bank account, if they belong to someone else. They also call out family members. Joint accounts will be restricted or removed. MrQ will also refuse a business account, if that business is even yours.
PlayOJO takes a different approach to most with edge cases. If a method you deposited with cannot take a payout, they will only process a payout to another method if it has been fully verified in your name. Grosvenor has a similar policy, but if a player mixes their methods, they will send the withdrawal to the method that has a positive net balance (higher deposits than overall withdrawals).
Here is what this means in practice. Open a PayPal account in the same name and if possible the same email as the account you use for your casino, before you deposit. Also, work to keep just one funding method active. This becomes more important if you have a cashout amount and the casino distributes funds to multiple methods. If you deposit £20 by card and £200 by PayPal at Grosvenor, PayPal is where the money goes back, whatever you would have preferred.
There is one more reason to get this right. At MrQ, a withdrawal held for verification checks is explicitly outside the 60 seconds or £10 guarantee. The only feature that makes MrQ the fastest PayPal casino comes off exactly when your account details do not match.
Credit cards, PayPal, and the rule people miss
The Gambling Commission banned credit card gambling in Great Britain on 14 April 2020, on all online and offline platforms with the exception of non-remote lotteries. After research showing that 22% of online gamblers who used credit cards were categorized as problem gamblers, UK Finance estimated 800,000 people were paying for gambling this way.
What catches people out is that the ban reaches through an e-wallet. You cannot get around it by topping up PayPal with a credit card and then depositing the balance, and the casinos say so themselves. William Hill’s banking page states that UK customers cannot fund PayPal deposits using a credit card. MrQ goes further and refuses any deposit “via a money service business, such as a digital or e-wallet, where the original source of the deposited funds is a credit card.”
So a PayPal casino deposit has to be backed by your PayPal balance, a debit card or a bank account. The same Gambling Commission announcement made mandatory participation in GAMSTOP for all online operators, which is why all ten casinos here are signed up to it.
Fees, and where your money actually sits
None of the seven casinos will charge you for PayPal deposits or withdrawals. PayPal also does not charge you for these transactions. According to their UK consumer fees, there is no fee for buying with PayPal as long as there is no currency conversion. This obviously applies to any deposit from GBP into a British casino. For these, PayPal charges 3% over their base exchange rate, so it is best to keep the transaction in sterling.
Betway has a near exception to PayPal's fee-free withdrawal minimum of £5. They will charge you £1 to process the withdrawal if the balance in your account is less than £5. This is a casino charge and not a PayPal charge.
The question of protection is more interesting. Money held in your PayPal balance is money held by PayPal UK Ltd, an electronic money institution which is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Money held in your casino account balance is governed by the Gambling Commission's funds segregation rules. Many of the casinos on this list place themselves in the middle of this scale.
Neither of these systems is a bank guarantee and neither falls under the deposit protection scheme. The same recommendation applies throughout this site: withdraw everything you are not actively playing and do not keep money in your account balances.
PayPal against the other two ways to pay
PayPal is one of three lifelines at a UK casino with the loss of credit cards. Here is how it stands among other methods for money deposit considerations.
| Debit card | Open banking | PayPal | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Casinos offering it | 10 of 10 | 8 of 10 | 7 of 10 |
| Typical minimum | £5 | £5 | £10, or £25 at bet365 |
| Ever excluded from a welcome offer | No | Yes, at Betway | Yes, at Betway and Grosvenor |
| Card details shared with the casino | Yes | No | No |
| Withdrawals back to it | Yes, sometimes 1-3 days | Yes | Yes, often the quickest |
Debit card is likely the only method of which nobody excludes from a bonus, and has the lowest deposit limits. The loss leg deterioration begins with Grosvenor where a Fast Withdrawal card is processed in 1-3 working days versus PayPal who is processed immediately.
Open banking has the best of all worlds. It also has tons of complications. It goes by many names under different casinos. Players miss it because of that. This banking method goes by Trustly at bet365, PlayOJO, Midnite and Betway; Pay By Bank at William Hill and Betway; Instant Banking at Betfred; Instant Bank Transfer at Grosvenor; and Easy Bank Transfer at MrQ. You must pay from your banking account, and the casino never has your card information. This is a method available at 8 of the 10 casinos. See all breakdowns in the Pay by Bank casinos guide.
PayPal brings convenience to deposits and scores the return leg as one of the fastest methods to process payouts, as well, especially at MrQ and Grosvenor. This does come with the highest deposit limits at the casinos and losing the welcome offer at two casinos.
This is the smooth route for you both. Open the account. Use your debit card for the first deposit with no risk if any offer condition should surprise you. Get the bonus and then add PayPal for every transaction after that. This costs you one transaction and protects a bonus worth up to £40 plus spins.
Which PayPal casino to pick
If you want the bonus and PayPal
MrQ. They have no offer method exclusion, winnings from the 100 welcome spins come as real cash, and PayPal withdrawals have their 60 Second Cashout or £10 Guarantee.
Visit MrQIf you want the clearest figures
Grosvenor Casinos publish a proper per-method table and state £10 in and £5 out on PayPal. Just don’t use it for your first deposit or you lose the welcome offer.
Visit GrosvenorIf you want the fastest PayPal payout
Grosvenor again on paper, since PayPal is one of the methods enabled for their 15-minute Fast Withdrawals. MrQ is the one that pays you if it is late.
Visit MrQIf you deposit small amounts
Don’t use bet365 for PayPal. A deposit is £25, the highest minimum here, and their debit card minimum is £5. It’s the same casino but you pay five times as much to deposit.
Frequently asked questions
Of the ten licensed casinos we track, seven take PayPal: bet365, William Hill, All British Casino, PlayOJO, Betway, Grosvenor Casinos and MrQ. Midnite, BetVictor and Betfred do not list it among their published UK methods.
Yes, at two of them. Betway's welcome offers are for debit card deposits only; Grosvenor cites PayPal and Paysafe as methods that do not qualify; William Hill lists PayPal as one of the primarily restricted methods on its sports offer, whereas on its casino offer, it has no method restrictions.
The usual starting point is about £10, except for Bet365, which has the highest minimum PayPal deposit at £25. PlayOJO has a minimum withdrawal amount of £20, which is twice as much as most other casinos.
Not currently. Since April 2020, credit card gambling has been illegal in Great Britain, and e-wallets have been covered by the ban. According to William Hill, PayPal deposits by UK customers cannot be funded from credit cards; similarly, MrQ does not accept credit card funding.
Not a normal pound sterling payment to a UK casino. PayPal's UK consumer policy states there is no fee for buying with PayPal as long as there is no currency conversion. PayPal charges 3% above the current exchange rate in such cases.
PayPal, in its UK acceptable use policy, treats gambling transactions as pre-approvals. Thus, a casino has to get approval from PayPal before it can go live with PayPal as a payment option. This tends to favour the more established casinos and the result is that cashiers such as BetVictor Casino and Midnite Casino operate without PayPal as a payment option.
