01My verdict
I have a file on every UK casino cashier, and bet365’s is the most extensive one I have. When compared to its competitors who usually have about 5 or 6 deposit methods, bet365 has 9. Minimums and maximums are outlined for every deposit method offered. A welcome offer that pays out any winnings to the cash out balance is offered. On paper, it is the most complete casino in the United Kingdom.
So why is it not 5 out of 5? Bet365 shows you the methods for deposits, but very little methods for cash outs. There is no published UK withdrawal times page. Among their 29 sections of terms and conditions, some clauses are covered that can be quite harmful to the customer: dormant fees, winnings caps, and the ability to freeze an account permanently for 27 listed prohibited activities. What these cover and what the terms do not allow bet365 to do is described in the bonus abuse rules.

This is why bet365 is ranked first in my payments column. The help centre has published a full UK deposit table and minimums and maximums for deposit methods, which is offered by half of the casinos on my comparison page. The numbers below are actual bet365 numbers.
Pick a method
Visa, Mastercard, Electron and Maestro debit. The card has to be in your own name; a mismatch is grounds for bet365 to freeze the payment.

Two names missing from that wall are Skrill and Neteller. If your bankroll lives in an e-wallet, PayPal and Revolut Pay are your only options. And there are no UK casinos that accept credit cards; the Gambling Commission banned credit cards throughout the industry in 2020.
Getting money back out
Withdrawals will go back to the method you paid by if they can. bet365 has a generous policy with no limits on withdrawals per day, but after you take a closer look you will see that there are no published times for the UK. This lack of times costs them half a point in my book.
When it comes to payouts, Grosvenor has a written policy of 15 minutes, and MrQ will pay you £10 if they miss their 60 second window. bet365 requires you to take it on faith.

04Games and live casino
bet365 has a huge lobby with a great organisation to its layout. Slots get their own space. There are sections for Megaways, Bonus Buys, Slingo, Classic Slots, and Drops & Wins and bet365 Originals.
The live site has some bet365 branded roulette, blackjack and baccarat tables, as well as game shows with the Bet Behind feature letting you play blackjack when other players fill the seats. Poker has its own client and cash games and Twister Tournaments. Bingo rooms have scheduled games that run off the same wallet.
There is one unique offering: sports betslips can have four progressive jackpots attached to them as an opt-in bonus. There is nothing like this on our list.
05Five clauses worth reading twice
Most of the bet365 general terms and conditions are boilerplate, but are still tedious. One of the exceptions is section 22, which almost word for word copies the regulator’s Interruption Rule into the contract, and I have spoken about the other nine on my game malfunction page. Only these five would apply to a UK player. Click for details about what they mean.
After 365 days of inactivity, bet365 considers your account to be Dormant. Before doing so, bet365 will try to notify you and will send your balance back to your last payment method. If that is unsuccessful, they will start charging you an Administration Fee of £2 after 35 days.
This is the most user-friendly of the six of the dormancy clauses. There is no better way to stop it than to log in. This £100 would take approximately 4 years to become void with no activity on the account. See all other 10 dormant accounts clauses on the page.
The wins are typically capped regardless of the stake. A document containing the wins caps is referenced in the terms and conditions.
This goes more to players that like to bet for relatively large amounts. Consider finding the document related to the winning limits prior to placing the bet. The surprise of not finding out about them after a large bet is a huge disappointment.
bet365 is authorised to suspend your account and place a hold on your funds while an investigation into potentially illegal or prohibited activity takes place. There is no jurisdictional limit set for the duration of the investigation in the terms and conditions.
For you: keep your account boring. Use your real name, include your real payment methods, and don’t use a VPN. These are the “tripwires” that the terms of the agreement describe.
Previously restricted or closed accounts with any bet365 group entity will prohibit you from opening any new account, and there is no stated limit on the duration of this ban.
For you: closed accounts from many years ago will stop a new account sign up. There is no 'rehabilitation' option.
Changes to material terms will be communicated to you and agreement to the changes will be binding, which provides stronger protection than most other bookmakers. For bet365, anything that is considered ‘minor’ comes into effect immediately when the changes are posted.
For you: the big stuff cannot change suddenly. However, the small stuff can change, and bet365 decides what constitutes the ‘big stuff’ and what constitutes the ‘small stuff’.
06Safety and player protection
Customer funds are held in trust separate from bet365’s funds. The bank has confirmed that it will not co-mingle trust funds with management funds. bet365 states that it has met the requirements for the medium protection level as classified by the Gambling Commission, and stated that the funds are held in a trust. This is the middle band, so the terms are worth reading closely. The funds protection page of this site also explains what each of the levels means in this context.
You can find responsible gambling tools on bet365 in deposit limit, reality checks, time outs, self-exclusion, and activity tracking. As a UKGC licensee, bet365 also falls under GAMSTOP, the UK national self-exclusion scheme. Bet365 also has the internal complaints process. If either party does not reach a resolution it within eight weeks, this may also be brought before IBAS, and in bet365’s terms, it states that the decision reached would be binding on both parties. This is similar to, if not stronger than, most of the other terms on my list.
The terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, so disputes for UK players will remain in the UK.
