The four UK casinos that take paysafecard
Of all payment methods for UK based casinos, paysafecard, being a prepaid voucher where you pay for a code with a certain value, buy it with cash, then spend it online is the one that comes closest to having no financial link to any casino of any value. This page is fully aware of this advantage. Everything else about paysafecard and online UK casinos is a compromise.
| Casino | Welcome offer | Deposit range | Keeps the offer? | Play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| bet365 | Up to 500 free spinsNo wagering, 10p per spin | £5 – £1,000 | No, excluded by name | Visit |
| William Hill | 200 free spins10x wagering, £30 win cap | £10 – £200 | Casino yes, sports no | Visit |
| All British Casino | 100 cash spins + 10% cashbackNo wagering, no max cash out | £10 – £5,000 | Yes, Skrill is the excluded one | Visit |
| Grosvenor Casinos | £40 bonus + 100 spins10x wagering on deposit + bonus | From £10 | No, named in the terms | Visit |
The fourth column is the one to read first, as it is the only method on this site where half the casinos offering it also refuse to let it earn you anything.
Two of the four will not let it claim a bonus
The majority of payment methods will be excluded from an offer here or there, but Paysafecard will be excluded at half of the casinos that accept it and both will mention its exclusion in their terms.
bet365 will not include paysafecard in the New Player Offer stated in its site promotion terms. Grosvenor will not accept paysafecard in its welcome offer and will mention that both payment methods, PayPal, and Paysafecard will be included as payment methods which will be excluded. William Hill will publish paysafecard as an excluded payment method for its sports offer while its casino offer will state no payment method will be excluded.
This leaves All British Casino as the only one of the four where a paysafecard first deposit will still qualify you for the welcome offer. Its exclusion list will mention Skrill, and noting else.
What this costs, in real terms. A paysafecard first deposit at bet365 forfeits up to 500 free spins. At Grosvenor it forfeits a £40 bonus plus 100 spins. Neither casino stops the deposit or warns you at the cashier, because the deposit itself is perfectly valid. Only the offer quietly does not attach.
The four casinos, one by one
What paysafecard specifically does at each. Screenshots are the mobile homepage and the casino lobby as they looked in August 2026.
bet365
UKGC account 55149 · Hillside (UK Gaming) ENCbet365 publishes the widest paysafecard range here at £5 to £1,000, instant, and it is the only casino that explains the catch: you need a separate my paysafecard account, because vouchers are bought in store or online with a debit card and then added to that balance. That £1,000 is not bet365 being generous, it is exactly paysafecard's own registered-account ceiling. The cost is spelled out in the promotion terms: deposits via paysafecard do not qualify for the New Player Offer, so funding this way forfeits up to 500 free spins.

William Hill
UKGC account 39225 · WHG (International) LimitedThis site has the most information overall. William Hill has a £200 cap on paysafecard deposits, while same cashier has a £99,000 limit with debit, a gap of 495 times. This is also the only casino to publish a paysafecard withdrawal and the fine print voids it. £25 to £99,000, with a bank transfer and a processing time of 3 to 5 working days. The money is transferred as a voucher and comes back as a bank payment. The casino welcome offer has no method restriction, though the sports offer has Paysafe in the excluded methods.

All British Casino
UKGC account 38758 · L&L Europe LimitedThe only casino where there is no cost associated with a paysafecard bonus. All British exclude Skrill deposits from their welcome offer and name no other method, so the 100 cash spins survive, and those spins pay real cash with no wagering and no maximum cash out. It is also clear about the method, and describes paysafecard on the payments page as the option that takes the most effort and is suitable for small amounts. General limits of £10 to £5,000 apply and withdrawals can be made by debit card.

Grosvenor Casinos
UKGC account 57924 · Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) LimitedGrosvenor gives the most accurate description of Paysafecard. Its method table shows Paysafecard as a depositing method only. Its minimum amount is £10, and there is no stated amount for withdrawals because Paysafecard does not allow withdrawals. Additionally, Grosvenor adds a warning in its banking terms regarding depositing via a non-reversible method, such as Paysafecard. Paysafecard also states the same in its banking terms and advises that customers may have to go through additional ID verification in order to process a withdrawal to a different method. Grosvenor’s welcome offer also states Paysafecard as one of the methods excluded, meaning a first deposit via Paysafecard will forfeit the player £40 + 100 spins.

The £40 ceiling the casinos never mention
bet365 claims players may deposit a max of £1000 via Paysafecard, whereas William Hill claims it is only £200. Neither of those amounts is depositable via a Paysafecard purchased in a store.
Paysafecard claims that the max depositable via a single 16-digit code is £40. To deposit more, you would have to create a Paysafecard account, which increases the max per transaction to £1000.
Looking at those two numbers next to bet365’s published range, it is clear what mechanism is at work here. bet365’s £1,000 max is not a bet365 decision, it is Paysafecard’s registered-account limit that is passed through, which is why bet365 is the only casino that informs its players they will need to create a my paysafecard account.
| Route | Max per payment | What it needs |
|---|---|---|
| Plain 16-digit code | £40 | Nothing, no registration |
| Registered account | £1,000 | A paysafecard account, verified |
| bet365's published cap | £1,000 | Matches the registered limit exactly |
| William Hill's published cap | £200 | Casino sets it lower than paysafecard does |
In effect, depositing £100 requires three individual voucher purchases unless the player has an account. Depositing any substantial amount requires that the player creates the very account the method is designed to replace.
The fees that come from paysafecard, not the casino
Of the four online casinos, none charges you to deposit via paysafecard. Paysafecard does charge, and its own fees page lists 3 separate charges.
- £3 a month on an unspent code. From the second month, a monthly service fee is deducted from whatever credit is left on a prepaid code. A £10 voucher you half-used and forgot about is worth nothing by month five.
- £6 per refund. Getting money back off a code costs a flat fee, taken out of the amount paid to you.
- £5 a month on a dormant account. A registered paysafecard account is charged monthly from the 13th month if you have made no transactions in twelve.
- A conversion fee applies to any transaction involving a currency conversion, which UK players paying a GBP casino in GBP should not meet.
In comparison, each of the other methods on this site costs you nothing. The only casino-related charge is Betway’s charge of one pound for a payout of less than five pounds. Paysafecard is the one method that charges you to hold the money.
There is no way back
This is where the decision rests. No online casino on this site will pay winnings back to a paysafecard.
Grosvenor is explicit in stating paysafecards can be used for deposits, but not for withdrawals, with no withdraw minimum posted since there are no applicable payout terms. William Hill is the only of the listed casinos that posts a paysafecard withdrawal, and in its own payout terms, it states the payout would be by a bank transfer only, and would take 3-5 working days. Money that comes in as a paysafecard is paid out as a bank transfer.
Grosvenor also explains the issue that results. Its banking terms state that deposits made via a non-refundable method, such as paysafecard, may result in the casino requiring further identity assurance before a withdrawal to a different method is permitted. Every UK operator will return money to the original source if it can; however, if it cannot, the casino wants to know why before sending your winnings to another destination.
Paysafecard does not manage its own withdrawal service unless you have a registered account. Their limits page states that you can withdraw £250 per month with a Standard account or £24,000 with an Unlimited account per year. This is a unique service that only Paysafecard offers, and none of the four casinos mention this service.
The result of this is that you will likely have to register another payment method in order to withdraw funds. If you were going to have to give the casino your bank account or debit card, anyways, the privacy argument for Paysafecard diminishes.
The anonymity has a ceiling
The reason most people are drawn to Paysafecard is the privacy it offers. It is important to be clear on what Paysafecard actually offers in terms of privacy. It hides payment information from the casino. It does not hide you from the casino.
Each of these sites holds a UK Gambling Commission licence, and that licence mandates that they collect customer information. All British Casino details where that threshold lies: verification is not required for a first deposit or first withdrawal, but it is required after the cumulative withdrawal amount reaches £1,400, or the cumulative deposit amount reaches £1,400. bet365 extends this and limits its welcome offer to only customers who are fully verified. Where those thresholds and what a casino may and may not ask you for is explained on our verification page.
People tend to miss a second step that is particularly important. When you purchase a voucher online, that is a purchase that is made using your debit card, which is how bet365 actually describes it. Purchasing a voucher in this manner moves your debit card from directly connecting you to a purchase from a casino to your bank being charged for a purchase from paysafecard. A voucher that is purchased using cash in a store completely removes your debit card.
So, in this case, buying a paysafecard does in fact move the casino transaction away from your bank. It also hides gambling transactions from your bank statement as long as you buy the code with cash. Certainly, neither of those protections move your name out of the casino's records, and the amount protecting you from being recorded stops somewhere around £1,400.
The six that do not take it
The strength of the evidence tends to determine the order in which the steps are presented because a missing method is more difficult to describe than a published one.
- MrQ publishes a closed list of five methods and none of them is paysafecard, then states that anything not on the list is not available.
- Midnite runs five methods with identical limits and no prepaid option among them. Its help pages name PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and paysafecard together as methods it does not offer.
- Betway names debit card, Trustly, Pay by Bank, Apple Pay and PayPal in its Ways to Deposit article, with no prepaid fallback of any kind.
- BetVictor is the trap. Paysafecard has an article in its help centre, but the country table inside it covers New Zealand and a long rest-of-world list. The United Kingdom is not on it, and BetVictor's UK deposit table is three rows long.
- Betfred shows Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Instant Banking and Bacs in its published method strip. Its welcome offer separately excludes prepaid cards and e-wallets, so a prepaid route would fail twice over.
- PlayOJO has never confirmed it. Paysafecard appears on none of its method pages and in none of its comparison table, which is an absence of evidence and not a published refusal.
What paysafecard is genuinely good for
Everything above is a real expense, and none of it makes the method useless. There are two things it does that nothing else on this site can.
It keeps your finances out of the casino entirely. No card number, no bank account, no name on a payment instrument. Apple Pay and open banking hide your card details from the operator, but a bank still sits behind them. A voucher bought with cash does not. Paysafecard is issued by Prepaid Services Company Limited, licensed by the Financial Conduct Authority under the UK Electronic Money Regulations 2011 with firm reference 900021, so this is regulated e-money and not an unlicensed workaround.
It is a hard spending cap. A £20 voucher can lose you £20 and nothing else. There is no card to top up from in the moment, no balance behind it, no second deposit without physically buying another code. For anyone who wants a ceiling that does not depend on willpower at 1am, that structure is worth more than the fees cost.
The flip side of that, and it matters. A voucher bought with cash sits outside your bank. If you have switched on a gambling block with your bank to help you stop, depositing by paysafecard goes around it, because your bank never sees the payment. If a block is part of how you stay in control, this is the one method that undermines it. GAMSTOP still applies at all ten casinos here whatever you pay with. Our responsible gambling page covers the free help available and how the blocking tools fit together, and the National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133.
Which of the four to use
If you chose a voucher, the four are not substitutable.
You want the bonus too
All British Casino is the only answer. It offers 100 free spins with no wagering and no limit on cash out. Paysafecard is not featured on their exclusions list. They also set a publishing verification threshold, which the other vouchers don’t do.
You want to deposit more
bet365. While it only offers a £1000 limit (compared to William Hill’s £200 limit), it does allow you to withdraw using your Paysafecard. However, the welcome offer is gone.
You want it small and simple
William Hill. Same as bet365, a £200 limit, which may suit a £40 code. This is the only casino who publishes any Paysafecard withdrawal route although it does payout by bank transfer.
There are several reasons why Grosvenor should be avoided for this method. It takes Paysafecard, but excludes it from the welcome offer, refuses to make withdrawals to it, and also warns that a deposit may trigger additional verification checks. All three of these things are published and deserve credit to Grosvenor, but all three still count against it here.
Paysafecard against the alternatives
Four possible ways to fund a UK casino account, based on the criteria which determine it.
| Paysafecard | Debit card | Open banking | PayPal | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Casinos offering it | 4 of 10 | 10 of 10 | 8 of 10 | 7 of 10 |
| Casinos paying out to it | 0 of 10 | 10 of 10 | 8 of 10 | 7 of 10 |
| Bars the welcome offer | At 2 of its 4 | Never | At 2 casinos | At 2 casinos |
| Needs a bank account | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Costs anything to hold | £3 a month | No | No | No |
| Cap per payment | £40, or £1,000 registered | £99,000 | £99,000 | £5,500 |
An honest summary: If keeping your bank separate is the priority, then paysafecard is the best choice. You must accept that you will need to set up another way to cash out. If that is not the main priority, then the debit card is the best option at every single casino, while open banking keeps your card details hidden from the operators for free, while this page has no costs.
Frequently asked questions
Four of the ten we track: bet365, William Hill, All British Casino and Grosvenor Casinos. Midnite, Betway, MrQ and Betfred publish method lists without it. BetVictor scopes paysafecard to other countries and not the UK, and PlayOJO has never confirmed it.
No. Grosvenor has it listed as a deposit-only option, and William Hill pays out via a bank transfer for paysafecard withdrawals, which takes 3 to 5 business days, with a minimum of £25. Paysafecard has its own payout service; however, that option is only available for withdrawals through a registered account and is capped at £250 for a Standard account.
At two of the four casinos that take it. bet365's promotion terms state that deposits via paysafecard do not qualify for its New Player Offer, and Grosvenor states that PayPal and Paysafe are excluded methods on its welcome offer. William Hill's sports offer also excludes it, however its casino offer has no method restrictions. All British Casino excludes Skrill, so paysafecard qualifies there.
According to paysafecard fees and limits page, each transaction is 40 pounds and has a 16-digit code. They also state that the maximum amount you can purchase from a paysafecard account is £1,000. This is also the upper limit bet365 publishes, and therefore it indicates that a separate account is required.
Three fees apply. There is a £3 service fee that is charged from the second month onwards if credit is still on the account. A service fee of £6 is charged if you decide to cash out. A further fee of £5 is charged from the 13th month onwards if no transactions were made for the preceding twelve months. There are no charges applied by the casinos.
This method is provided by the Prepaid Services Company Limited and is licensed by the Financial Conduct Authority under the UK Electronic Money Regulations 2011 with the firm reference 900021. Unlike other payment methods, this method does not require victims to provide banking details to casinos. This payment method ranks first in terms of payment method privacy. The trade-off is everything else on this page.
